Activity Break Volunteers
What does a CCHF All About Kids Volunteer get to do? .JPG)
The volunteers’ role is to join in with whatever fun and games the week may bring: to get wet, sing, dance, laugh, play games, ride bikes, climb, swim and lots, lots more! Also, volunteers should be sensible and aware; help, listen, support, encourage and mediate.
But don’t panic … you won’t be alone. There will be a team leader and other volunteers helping and supporting your efforts.
Your job is to be there for the children if they need it ... or even if they don’t!
- To give encouragement and support to a child who has low self-esteem.
- To listen to a child who may be scared or homesick.
- To enter into the child's world and be silly and have fun!
- To understand that, generally, the child's behaviour is a direct result of the environment they have just left. That is, after all, why a child comes to CCHF All About Kids!
Our breaks are designed with children in mind so don’t worry about the activities being too strenuous or challenging. We want you to have a positive experience on our activity camps! So please enjoy them!
