Who We Are and How We Help

We provide a range of residential activity and respite breaks and on-going support that allows children and young people to escape the traumas of their everyday life and simply become children again.

Who We Help

  • Severe poverty
  • Domestic violence
  • Alcohol and drug abuse
  • Physical, mental and sexual abuse
  • Dangerous environments and neighbourhoods
  • School exclusion
  • Social isolation
  • Victims and perpetrators of bullying
  • Low self-esteem
  • Young carers

How We Help Them!

  • We show the children and young people that there is a world outside of the world they live in
  • They go walking in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs or Peterborough
  • They swim in the sea and build sandcastles on the beach
  • They feed farm animals and go horse riding
  • They become more positive about their own capabilities, their self-worth and their future
  • They learn about the benefits of a healthy diet, exercise and table manners
  • They can develop new social skills by interacting with others
  • They play, learn and are cared for in safe and encouraging environments
  • They spend quality time with adults who provide positive role models
  • They grow in confidence by challenging themselves and trying new activities
  • They learn to be more independent and self sufficient
  • They receive peer support by mixing and talking with other children with similar experiences
  • They meet and make new friends, who they continue to have contact with through CCHF camps and outings
