How We Help Them!
- We show the children and young people that there is a world outside of the world they live in
- They go walking in the beautiful countryside of the South Downs or Peterborough
- They swim in the sea and build sandcastles on the beach
- They feed farm animals and go horse riding
- They become more positive about their own capabilities, their self-worth and their future
- They learn about the benefits of a healthy diet, exercise and table manners
- They can develop new social skills by interacting with others
- They play, learn and are cared for in safe and encouraging environments
- They spend quality time with adults who provide positive role models
- They grow in confidence by challenging themselves and trying new activities
- They learn to be more independent and self sufficient
- They receive peer support by mixing and talking with other children with similar experiences
- They meet and make new friends, who they continue to have contact with through CCHF camps and outings
